Academic internship at University of Parma

I completed an internal internship in collaboration with the University of Parma, where, together with a digital forensics specialist, we set up a small laboratory focused on experimenting with digital forensics techniques. The goal was to demonstrate that real-world investigative cases can be effectively analyzed using only open-source tools, applying practical methodologies to realistic digital forensic scenarios.

As part of this project, I also authored a document exploring the new frontiers of digital forensics in network environments, covering topics such as forensic tools, the rights of individuals and companies, and the challenges introduced by Industry 4.0 and the IoT, which are reshaping the landscape of digital investigations. The document concludes with the examination of real case studies, provided by official institutions, used as training material for hands-on forensic exercises.
